An account of the life and work of this modern British artist who was one of the foremost painters of the period, as well as a wood engraver, book illustrator and poster designer. The book is illustrated with photographs and reproductions of some of White's paintings and contains a fully illustrated catalogue of all the wood engravings, drypoints and linocuts executed by the artist.
